Thanks for the reply.. and As I was sending the mail I was thinking I really should post the code aswell..

I have just actually found the problem, and I think it was an interesting one. I solved it by putting at activate command in for filemaker (when it copies the image) and then activate in InDesign aswell, toggling between the apps seemed to force InDesign to update the clipboard.

Just thought that might be useful for someone.
