Some nice code there, Adam. I also suggested to Patrick that an alternative approach would be to collect the events in date order (by looping forward from today for, say, 30 days) so that they didn’t need sorting at all.
However, I can’t help thinking that there are some bigger problems with using AppleScript to get iCal events, if those events are repeating. For example, if there’s an important birthday tomorrow, and it was already in iCal this time last year, it will be hard to notice the event from an AppleScript (since both start and end dates are last year’s). Unless I’ve missed something obvious, I can’t see an easy way to notice repeating events using AppleScript.
Pete
