Hi List,

I have posted this topic on the AppleScript Studio list and received no reply. I guess that some of you might be facing the very same problem...

Could you comment?

============================================

I have this app that was functional for months and months, and now it can not delete some temporary files it creates inside the library folder.

I have talked this issue to another two coleagues, and they have reported similar problem.

My problem envolves "writing to file", do shell script "rm", do shell script "mv", and tell app "Finder" to delete... concerning not all folders in my disk.

The problem envolves only my Applescript Studio apps. It seems that the same lines of AppleScript are still 100% functional if executed from ScriptEditor.

For example:

From Script Editor I can write a file in "/tmp/file1.txt", but from my compiled appescript studio app, the script has no effect, no errors shown too.

My guess is that Apple is trying to improve its operating system by limiting to and from which folders applications can write or delete files.

I appreciate your comments,

Thanks,

Bernardo Höhl Rio de Janeiro - Brazil
