I was being a bit cryptic when I posted. My real thoughts were: "why on
earth would anybody want to open an mbox in the Finder?"

Have they started using pretty icons for the contents or something?

The only thing worth knowing about an mbox is does the real mbox contain any
data and what's fastest way to awk that data to find the text that you're
after.

Or am I missing something?
