I'm trying to persuade Quicktime to play fullscreen using something like the following:

    tell application "QuickTime Player"
        activate
if not (exists movie 1) then error "No movies are open."

        present movie 1 scale screen
    end tell

The switch to fullscreen works fine, but when I leave fullscreen, the video hangs while the audio continues on. To persuade the video to continue, I have to reopen the file.

It's only started this since QT7. Anyone know if this is a bug or something I'm doing wrong?

I would say it's a bug. It looks difficult for our macs (laptops, at least) to play fullscreen: one of the worst crashes I ever experimented was when I let the battery go empty while in "present" mode. (Years ago.)
