Um, you're a programmer, so you telling me it's unfriendly is not the the
unfriendly I was talking about.
Again, since you skipped this part, I'll restate it differently:
There are fundamental differences between the way a programmer, and a
non-technical scripter approach the same problem. In many cases, these
differences are mutually exclusive. For the non-technical scripter to think
like a programmer requires them to BE a programmer. The reverse holds true.
You have valid points, but they're valid for PROGRAMMERS. You aren't who
AppleScript is friendly for. You want a language that's friendly for you,
use Perl/VBA/C++. Although even for programmers, C++ is craptacular, so
holding it up as a good example of anything but a bad example is amusing.
Again, NO language is PERFECT for EVERYONE and EVERY USE. If you hate
AppleScript, great, use something else if possible. Once Apple makes OSA
universally accessible, you'll never have to sully your hands again.
