I could have sworn that the toolbar in Script Editor for Panther had a
Find box in the toolbar. It never worked for me (kept disappearing),
so I was looking forward to seeing it fixed one day. But in Tiger,
it's not there at all. Has it gone, or is my bad luck continuing...?
I don't understand. The "Edit > Find" menu item is always here and it
works flawlessly.
On a related subject, can I use SpotLight to search inside scripts? Or
is it going to need some kind of addition (importer thingy) before we
can search scripts?
If you search for a string defined in the script or for a variable
name, we may assume that Spotlight will be able to find them as they
are stored as is (if the script is a text or a compiled one). If you
search for a "reserved word", one may guess that the search will fail
on a compiled script because the reserved word is not save as "plain
text" but in tokenised form.
