It's beta.
However, the current release of PGP 9.0 doesn't work with Tiger; the web site says support for Tiger is "forthcoming."
PGP 9.0 is completely transparent; if you have a key for the recipient, it will automatically encrypt the message when you send it, and if you have more than one recipient, it will encrypt each recipient's copy only with that person's key--and send clear-text mail to any addressee who does not have a key. No menus to choose, and no buttons to click.
Receipt is just as transparent.
