My post seems to point a finger at Smile for an oddly named button and
participation in the Very Long Wait to build an application list.

Working this morning on a script to open an app's dictionary in SE from
Smile, I see that I had no idea what I was talking about ;).

It is 'choose application' that displays that interface and insists on
looking everywhere each time.
