Surely cp, as modified by Apple for OS neXt, has a new dash option to behave the UNIX way. Doesn't it?

I had to back out of 10.4 because it won't talk to my SE/30's but what does "man cp" have to say?

If it ain't so it should be possible to find an unmodified version of the UNIX tool. Darwin Ports? How about recovering cp from 10.3 and renaming it?

What about scp? Will it work with localhost?

Icon's, if assigned specially as in an "open with" choice are in the resource fork. Window coordinates are ignored by Finder if present in the metadata anyway. They're probably in .DS_Store files. OS neXt absolutely ignores finder information prepared on my SE/30's.
