Hi kai,

Thanks again. I am replying directly to you, cc the list.

Looks like we're both GMT?

Right - hello, neighbour. :-)

The "Print Size" unfortunately doesn't work. I measured (with a good ruler)
the apparent dimensions of onscreen photos, and got the following:

Consistently, and whatever the image dpi, Photoshop will show a "Print Size"
image which is 25% smaller along the linear dimensions. E.g., a (true) 25 cm
wide photo will measure onscreen 18.73 cm.

I've had a closer look at it here and get some rather strange results too, Mike.

It surprises me, though, that such a simple thing apparently, can't be done
by a one line of code in photoshop...

It does seem a curious omission, considering how simple it should have been to include a zoom property. The issue wouldn't be quite so vexing if zoom settings could be recorded in actions - but they appear to be ignored there, too. :-/

Sorry we couldn't wring out a more satisfactory conclusion...
