Hi all,

TextCommands 0.4.0 is now available:

http://freespace.virgin.net/hamish.sanderson/index.html#textcommands

This release alters or improves a number of existing commands and adds several new ones:

- 'split' and 'join' provide a more powerful alternative to text item delimiters for splitting and joining Unicode text

- 'literal' addresses the AppleScript compiler's lack of Unicode support by providing a simple mechanism for converting string literals containing Unicode character codes into true Unicode text

- 'format' allows you to convert any AppleScript value to its textual representation, with options for formatting the data according to a user-defined format string and pretty-printing complex lists and records for improved legibility.

Enjoy!

p.s. Would anyone be interested in a tutorial on how to write scriptable FBAs similar to TextCommands? It requires some basic Python knowledge but is really easy to do.
