Who put curly quotes in the script!?
Well spotted, Gary.
From my previous dealings with FMP, the culprit could well be FileMaker
itself. Somewhere in the application preferences ('Document.../General'
in the good old days, IIRC), there was a "Use smart quotes" option. I
always kept the option unchecked - so Eric might like to determine if a
similar option exists and is currently checked.
