Hi Axel,

Per the list I have 8 stands for "trace mode error".

Hmm... yes, I agree, I'm once again very late at reading this list. :-(

Search your machine for a file called "MacErrors.h"

And open it using text edit.

Yes, I knew about that file almost since the Macintosh came with a development environment.
But I wasn't sure Hudson's problem ("Error Type 8") was related to a "trace mode error".
And having a quick look at the various replies on the list didn't convince me that Hudson got a real answer to its original question.
Positive error numbers, as viewed from Mac OS, generally relate to some OS or hardware serious problems.
Unless we are speaking about unix functions (and their shell counterparts), in which case a "do shell script" command returns an arcane "error of type N", where N is the usually postive shell command's return code.
This is why I asked Hudson "Are you using a "do shell script" command in your idle handler?".

But, again, I may have missed something,
In which case my sincere apologies for the noise,
Axel
