XMail is a powerful scripting addition for Mac OS X (10.2.x, 10.3.x, 10.4.x) allowing AppleScripters to send mails from AppleScript without using a third-party application. The following features are available with XMail :

- full unicode support in every parts of the mail
- multiple recipients (TO,CC,BCC)
- attachments
-  various SMTP authentication (Plain, Login, Anonymous, CRAM-MD5, CRAM-SHA1)
-  secured connection (SSL encryption is available)
- extra mail headers
- support for HTML mails

Take your AppleScript Studio applications, AppleScript applications, FileMaker projects or your workflow to the next level by adding them the ability to send mails without pain, simply by bundling the osax within your projects and by the way XMail is free and open source.

I did received some feedbacks from users of XMail (3.1 and 3.0) and I’ve fixed a bug in the quoted-printable algorithm causing a mail to be badly displayed in some mailers that do not work with \r, this is now fixed and mails will be displayed properly now. The plist used for mime-types/extensions matching as been extending to 237 items thanks to JJ. A linking issue on XMail 3.1 might have cause troubles to some users, they were not able to use XMail anymore, this is now fixed and working as expected on both Panther and Tiger.

- Bug fix for mishandling \r and \n encoding (bug reported by Patrick D. Fox).
- A new mime-type plist extended to 237 mime-types (thanks JJ).
- Linking error fixed.

If you want to support the development of XMail you can buy a licence for XMail ($10 or 8.5€ without VAT) <https://order.kagi.com/cgi-bin/store.cgi?storeID=6FBNZ&lang=en>, you’ll receive in exchange a serial number, you should use this number whenever you want to have information and/or technical support for XMail, you’ll also be personally advertised of every new version of XMail
