I know it's an old post but haven't seen a continuation of the thread.

Bug:
I also can't get the same bug.

Security:
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the remote Mac has to have 'remote apple events' turned on in the Sharing system preferences pane. Doesn't this make is secure enough (or at least as secure as remote scripting in general)?
