A few questions, though:
• Does Skype also quit if it's already open when the script is run?
• When you successfully ran the two scripts separately, were they
both executed from within FMPro?
• Did you try inserting an additional delay where indicated in the code?

Looks that way, doesn't it John? As I understand it, though, the code
is being run by FMPro. IIRC this should mean that (in the absence of
an explicit one) an implicit tell statement would target FileMaker.
