I am looking for the solution to create events to published calendars. This should also be possible from machines subscribing to the calendar.
Is there a way to get around the normal mechanism of not being alowed to write to subscribed calendars?
I tried to set the url of an event to be the one of the calendar, but this makes the event only visible on the machine performing this action.
Published iCal calendars are by definition read-only. You do understand what that means? You can't modify them.
The workaround is to make your modifications on the local calendar, then "unpublish" and re-publish it Since there are no AppleScript commands (yet) for publish, unpublish, subscribe or unsubscribe, you'll have to to do that part manually - unless you want to try gambling on GUI scripting.
