I'm not 100% shure about this but it is not possible with applescript.

if you run a script at the loginwindow the programming needs to be non-interface programming, dialogs and system events are not working here. I use Crontab and when the login window is in my screen then the script is still executable and make backups to an external harddrive. I tried an display dialog first but the script was only working when I did not aks for help from any application. So checking new files on hadr drive, removing old files, copying new files and writing log files will be done by do shell script commands.

Greetings Bastiaan

Hi,

I want to login to my Mac OS automatically by means of an
authentication system (e.g. speech recognition, finger print, etc.).
Is it possible to to run an application (written on one's one) which executes the recognition
although only the login screen is seen so that the recognition is
accomplished and with the recognition results the recognized user is
logged in?

Thanks,

Peter Vermeer
