I'm new to the list and on it for a very specific purpose, so I
apologize if I'm breaking etiquette of some sort. I have attempted a
search of list archives — as well as other obvious places — for the
answer to my question or some way to fill my need.
Here's what I'm desperately seeking:
A macro or Applescript I can use on any QuarkXPress 6.5 page to
search for:
all numbers in the Adobe Caslon typeface and change them to the
oldstyle numbers in their corresponding expert font families
(regular, semibold and bold);
and certain combinations of letters in the Adobe Caslon typeface (fi,
fl, ff, ffl and ffi) and change them to the ligatures (W, X, V, Y and
Z) in their corresponding expert font families (regular, semibold and
bold).
I don't know Applescript at all, and I've never built a macro. I'm
not a programmer and don't have the time to learn. As I say, I've
done some unsuccessful searches for third-party sources of such an
Applescript/macro but am hoping someone here can direct me better or
help me find someone who can create this for me for a nominal fee.
Again, I apologize if I am making this plea incorrectly.
