No, merely pointing out where its weaknesses lie. I thought Chris's Matt-invoking comment came across sounding a little harsh, saying that 'list processes as list' is 'syntactically and semantically well-defined' but 'doesn't do even remotely what you think it does' when a frequent reason for this is that AS syntax and semantics are so complex, obfuscated and ill-defined in the first place. i.e. AS's design actively encourages these mistakes to be made. Also, expecting non-developers to fork out $30 bucks just to be able to whip up a few lines of AS to automate some simple task seems a tad cheeky - introductory tutorials and newbie-friendly explanations of how AS works are something newcomers would reasonably expect Apple to provide for free.
(The rest of your post seem to have misconstrued/missed the point of mine, btw. I was talking about how an explicit syntax provides clear, unambiguous semantics that ease learning and low-level comprehension of existing code; no relation to what you wrote.)
