osascript in multiuser environment

No direct need to know the answer to this right now - but for future reference...

If you have 2 users logged into a machine and both are using an application, lets take FileMaker Pro as that's the app which triggered this question, and you run an AppleScript as root (more accurately, a shell script which uses osascript), what happens? Where does the event end up? Do both copies of FileMaker get shut down elegantly? If so, how? If not, why not?

Almost certainly I don't know enough about how Mac OS X manages multiple users and how Mac OS X fixes AppleScript into this.

Thanks for any enlightenment.

Thanks

Simon Forster
