Inconveniently, you cannot specify a folder's view options at the time of
creation. You need to make the folder, open it, then set the view options
for the resulting Finder window.

This can be a drag. My preferred workaround is to use 'stationery' folders ­
when I want a new folder I run a script that lets me choose from a list of
preconfigured empty folders, then duplicates the chosen folder to the
current directory.
