In this type of dialog or similar, how can I move the current selection

set newStorage to (choose from list thefolders with prompt "Move to which
folders")

Is there something built into Applescript or Mac OS X I can use or do I
have to handle this on my own? Any suggestions?

You don't have to do anything; it's already built in.
