Long URLs tend to be cut by some mail apps (on PC side of things)

Is there anything that can be done on the Mac side of things to
prevent
that? I have tested placing the URLs between "<" and ">", but even
that
fails. Note that when an email like that comes back, all links work
again.
Also, what mail app would be the most appropriate to do this in
(easily
scriptable)?
Since I believe you may be using Entourage, Jan, you might like to
check out Make Hyperlinks X, a script that makes hyperlinks in
Entourage messages, written by someone who's usually not very far
from this list...
Just moving away from AppleScript for a moment, there's a method in
Mail for manually adding a hyperlink to selected text:
------------------------------
[1] create the email as normal
[2] select the text to which you wish to add a hyperlink
[3] (a) either: choose 'Add Hyperlink...' from the 'Edit' menu
(b) or: control-click on the selection and choose 'Edit Link...'
from the contextual menu
[4] type or paste the required url and click the 'OK' button
------------------------------
(By way of demonstration, I've sprinkled this message with a few
links created in this way.)
