According to a script developed by Apple and included with the system, users can generate keyboard shortcuts using the following approach, however, since this doesn't seem to work on my system I wonder if additional information is required.
This script also demonstrates the syntax for adding a keyboard shortcut to a Scripts menu item. You can do this by suffixing the name of the script with three underscore characters, then the keyboard shortcut. For example:
MyScript___ctl-shift-Y MyScript___opt-cmd-Z *)
When I read the above I assume that if I create a unique key sequence and add it to the script title as instructed I can use the keyboard shortcut. However, I can't any response from it.
In addition I can't find any other documentation on it. Indeed a Google search indicates that most people seem to use another application to assign keyboard shortcuts.
Does anyone know: a) Does the above technique work and if so what else is required to get it working. b) is there any documentation on this feature.
