It's part of the OS since Panther (well, there was a beta in Jaguar too).
It's not related to what machine the OS is installed on. Just to enabling
assistive access in Universal Access prefs.

Understood, Paul. I was referring to the term used in AppleScript Utility (where it states that "Enabling GUI Scripting will also enable access for assistive devices"). I should have been clearer. :-)


I asked the question because I believe the default (for any of the above) is off.
