I thought your point was that you were confused and I merely attempted an explanation. My understanding is that the run script routine you posted would still need to be compiled to be run, but this would occur at runtime - rather than when the rest of the script is compiled. I really can't see the point of adding to execution time unnecessarily in this way - but that's your prerogative... :-)
