Your readers might think that holes and electrons move at the same speed, I think that - inasmuch as you can consider an electron as a particule in a crystal, which is not very much as Einstein demonstrated clearly - it moves very slowly (not much faster than its thermal velocity anyway), while holes move faster. It's like in a queue, when the first in the queue leaves the queue, everyone moves one step forward possibly very slowly, but the hole moves from he head to the end of the queue in few seconds.
