Title: Missing values and Script Editor request
Hi there !
I have one question and one feature request, even though I don’t know if you deal with the Script Editor at all.
My first question is how come the Finder allows “missing valules” to be returned when for example, you are trying to get “physical size” of an item: do we agree that even for an alias, there always is a physical size ? How can AS just return “I don’t know” and get away with it ?
I had an similar issue with mod date, such as asking to get me the alias list of files whose mod date was in the last two weeks. I understand that in that case, the list can be empty (following vacations, for example). The workaround is looping until the value is not missing, obviously.
My second subject is a feature request. Would it be possible to select a whole piece of script and “comment it out” in one block, rather than adding the comment lines to every friggin’ line ?
Many thanks for the good work.
J.
