This trick seems kind of obvious, but it just occurred to me today.
I have droplets around that are useless unless items are dropped on
them. I often double-click them in an attempt to edit them, because
that's my habit for plain scripts. I just realized I could edit the
droplet's code to simply ask to be opened itself when double-clicked:
