Shane, Sander

I'm sorry, but I can't get your suggestion to work at all. What in the
example below am I doing wrong?

set theData to "Some Text"

set myFile to (open for access (choose file name with prompt "Please choose
a name and location for the new file") with write permission)
write theData as «class UTF8» to myFile
close access myFile

Whatever theData contains I can't get it to «class UTF8»
