Mount volume without a timeout box

  • Subject: Mount volume without a timeout box

I can mount a volume using:

mount volume "afp://username:email@hidden/user/"

However, if there is a problem and the computer isn't sharing or turned on,
I get a "attempting to connect" dialog box that counts down from 117
seconds.

Is there anyway to just have the call fail if the connection isn't
immediately present? Or is there anyway to change the timeout value if it
cannot be turned off?
