Yes. Do you have an IP address or network name, DNS or bonjour name
for the remote computer?
Some 'do shell script' options are- ping, rup, ruptime, 'wake on
magic packet'.
I usually do things the hard way. Maybe you should wait until the
really smart people answer. :-)
