Text Item Delimiter Problem

  • Subject: Text Item Delimiter Problem

When the text of an AppleScript text item delimiter is or contains `, or ', the text is not delimited there. Escaping it (\`, or \') doesn't work either and it doesn't seem to matter whether it's unicode text or ASCII. How do I specify a text item delimiter that must include single quote(s), curly quotes, or a back quote (lower case ~)? Must it be entered by ASCII number, for example?
