Appendix B of the 2nd edition of my book summarizes and gives examples of
all the various alternatives known to me for sending Apple events using some
other language than AppleScript. This is not quite the same, of course, as
the question of what alternative OSA dialects (that matter is treated on p.
44). There is some overlap between the two (e.g. JavaScript OSA is both an
OSA dialect and a way of sending Apple events) but they needn't, in fact,
bear any relationship to one another. m.
