I assume you know that the Date and Time Preference panel has a check box: "Set date & time automatically". When checked, your time is checked frequently enough to assure that (current time) in a script is very close to correct.

not update the computer clock we can get Filemaker to show a message
that the clock is off and call us, then quit.

Is this possible before I start to find an answer?
