My problem is that sometimes when my applet is run it pops up a

This isn't part of my script and it doesn't always appear, but it's
driving me nuts. Can anyone help me by explaining why these kinds
of dialogues appear, and how I can prevent them in my applet?
Try opening the applet in Script Editor and performing a "Save
As...", Neil. If the "Startup Screen" ("Écran de démarrage") option
is checked, uncheck it and continue with the save. (If that's not the
cause of the problem, then there's something weird going on...)
