applescript and svn

Hello,

I have an svn (subversion - version control) repository I use to keep my projects in sync across a number of machine. A new project includes a number of applescripts. Some of these were saved from script editor as applications to be edited and used. The project was then imported to the repository and then checked out to machines I using. The Finder now thinks the applescript applications are of the kind 'Application (Classic)' and they can't be open in script editor in an editable state e.g. you see the compiled script.

svnserve version 1.3.1
script editor version 2.1.1

Has anybody had a similar problem?
How can I open up the scripts in an editable state?

Has it got something to do with the 'applications' resource fork?
Could this be fixed using Rez or Derez and replacing the missing resource fork with another applescript one?

Cheers

Ewan
