Setting the grid for the window

Hi all,

I have tons of troubles with the Finder windows. Now I have two questions:

1. Is it possible to set the grid position withing the window ?
I am talking about the 0,0 location in the window: sometimes the items in the window are not at the window grid / the window grid moved and then there isa brand new grid location...

No, I do not ask how to set "snap to grid".

2. Sometimes when I move some items, they appears all at the same location (as a pile / one above the other and so on).
Is it possible to disable this "feature" ?

Note: even the menu item to move to the grid the items does not move them...

TIA,

Emile
