Hi Jesse,
By what do you mean "gather all the available print styles", and gather
them from where?
When I was scripting the print function of XPress, I found that Print
Styles were not part of the dictionary so I had to do some fancy shmancy
UI scripting that was kinda clunky but assisted the user in opening a
print style off the Server if it detected the print styles were missing.
As the Quark buttons are not pressable via UI scripting (a failure of
XPress's scripting ability) I had to use the "say" command to ask the user
to do a few things the script couldn't. But it was easier than setting it
all up myself every time on every machine.
In the end Quark released the script update for XPress (which fixed the
freezing "print setup record" problem) and I didn't have to use the print
styles any more (thank goodness).
If you can be more specific in what you are trying to achieve, I might be
able to help you further.
Cheers,
Coj

QuarkXPress Print Styles
Now, supposedly someone once said that QuarkXPress is 100% scriptable
you just need to know how to call what you want. With that said I
will pose my question.
Is there a way to gather all the available print styles in Quark via
AppleScript?
