I want to write a script for Illustrator 10.0.3

Document has about 16 pages with about 80 different sketches. I want to
save each sketch with a new filename.

1.	open file
2.	prompt for selection.
3.	pause - give time for user to make selection.
4.	prompt - enter sketch number (42)
5.	build filename - xxxx-42.eps
6.	scale (select strokes & effect and pattern option), copy\paste
selection to new document, save document with a new file name or
scale/save selection with a new filename. Save as TIFF black and white.
7.	repeat till all sketches are saved.

I bought the Adobe Illustrator Scripting book which was of no help. Any
scripts, suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks.
Ruby
