Thanks, that's *exactly* the detail I got wrong. I was seeing the / as changing levels, so I thought it wasn't necessary within the same level. As I thought, simple and obvious, but I'd been trying to Google for something that explained the syntax for idiots, and couldn't find it (most of the Google results try to explain more complicated stuff and not give a simple example).

And thanks for picking up on the error in my explanation as well--I was seeing 'book name=' and not realising offhand that I should be parsing this as the 'name' of 'book' rather than a separate thing called 'book name'. Oops.
