OT: iMac help?

Totally not an AppleScript question, but with so many Mac gurus in one
place, I thought someone might have a suggestion.

I just upgraded to a shiny new i(ntel)Mac, and the Migration Assistant
worked great, but it doesn't join the wireless network when it
reboots; I have to connect manually. I have "by default, join a
specific network" chosen in the Network control panel with the SSID
for the network, the same one that I'm joining manually. It always
joined on boot on my PPC Mini, so I'm somewhat perplexed. Any
suggestions? Is there perhaps a properties file or script or
something that I could change to bypass the Network Preferences Pane
and make it really work?
