Help! Connecting to MS SQL Server

Hi all,

Apologies for a slight cross posting from the AppleScript Studio list...

I've been bashing my head against a brick wall trying to get the MacSQL Framework (not the MacSQL app) to talk to our MS SQL Server - the results have been erratic and have seemed to defy logic. Other apps (eg. Aqua Data Studio) see all our databases fine. MacSQL invariably reports that it can't find the database but in some cases proceeds to communicate perfectly with the database it can't find. In other cases it fails to communicate with it. Also, code *seems* to not have compiled but works anyway...

Enough of that though, what I wondered was whether anyone was aware of a reliable method of querying a MS SQL Server database with AppleScript? Is there a sneaky OSAX anywhere? Or even a 'do shell script' would do.

Any hints or suggestions appreciated!

Regards
Rob
