Normally, I would agree with you 100%. In this case, however, most of these users are brand new to the Mac platform, switching over from the Windows world, and have no clue about how to do things on a Mac. I just want to make things as ridiculously easy for them as possible.

One tip for folks...UI Scripting is the LAST resort, not the first. before
you assume you have to resort to it, see if the application has a
dictionary, or if there's another way to do it. Even when it's the only way,
UI scripting is a fragile hack on the best day of its life.
