Hey there everyone!

I want to write a script do perform an action on a DVD when I insert it (System Preferences / CDs & DVDs).

Two problems..

1) I'm trying to figure out how to get the name of the newly inserted DVD? At the moment I'm looking at diskutil and drutil....? I can't find anything there so I was hoping that there might be a simple finder command in applescript that I'm missing? ("get every disk" is not what im looking for.)

2) Slightly off topic but... the System Preferences allows one to perform an action on a Blank DVD or a Video DVD...? But what if I want to perform an action on a Data DVD...? Am I missing something?

thanks in advance..

Wayne
