Entity Mr Tea spoke thus:
...but the current release of GC uses the centre of the selection
as the
reference point for pasting, rather than the top left corner.
And Gnarlie responded this way:
Thanks for the report. Thorsten Lemke of Lemkesoft has reported
that he
found the problem and fixed it. Your labors were not wasted, but
the OP
might find a busted script in a future GraphicConverter.
I did send a couple emails back and forth with Thorsten over this
behavior
about 48 hours ago (shortly after my initial post) and over some other
GC AS behaviors that weren't working as expected (the create new
window command not inheriting the dimensional & bit-depth properties
correctly). I wonder if this spurred him into the changes (and Gnarlies'
subsequent hearing of it).
I managed to figure out some work-abouts during the
interim utilizing other methods to accomplish what I needed (rather
than create oversized & paste at, it now creates at size, pastes full,
then adds margins all around to accomplish the same effect at that
stage of the script -- before embedding text, etc).
I do want to thank Nick for his insight and tinkering!
Cheers
