What would the regex be to extract the line two lines below that shows the default browser setting - then you've got it all.

"com.qualcomm.eudora" - nice and simple Gnarlie. My regex isn't up to that, so I was just extracting it using TIDs.

Okay, for me saying this:

do shell script "defaults read com.apple.LaunchServices | sed -n '/mailto;/{s/.*\"\\(.*\\)\".*/\\1/p;}' "

Returns string:

com.microsoft.entourage
