I'm trying to create a script bundle (e.g., by saving an applescript
as a script bundle from ScriptEditor 2.1.1), but the bundle appears in my
Finder (G5/10.4.4) as a regular folder instead of as a package. And if I
right-click on it, I don't get the "Show Package Contents" option.
If I view this folder from another Mac (G4/10.4.4), it
appears in its Finder as a package!
If I create a new folder in my Finder, then rename it, I get
an alert "Are you sure you want to add the extension .scptd to the end of
the name? If you make this change, your folder may appear as a single
file", but if I click Add, the folder does not appear as a package.
Turning on/off "Show all file extensions" option
in the Finder prefs makes no difference. It didn't help to rebuild permissions
or repair my hard drive. It didn't help to run lsregister.
Any ideas or advice on how to make my script bundles appear
as a package?
